I am still waiting for some of our students to finish their pen pal letters. If I did not receive it from them, I wrote it in their communication books. I’m asking students who have not yet completed their winter vacation homework to finish writing their pen pal letters. We will be sending these letters to students in America, who are part of a Chinese immersion elementary school. In return, they will be sending us letters in Chinese, which is very exciting! Today, they took their first vocabulary quiz of the semester, and I’m happy to report that they worked really hard. The average score was 74—great effort all around! This weekend, I’m asking students who have not yet completed their winter vacation homework to finish writing their pen pal letters. We will be sending these letters to students in America, who are part of a Chinese immersion elementary school. In return, they will be sending us letters in Chinese, which is very exciting! They should choose two vocabulary words we learned today and use them in their own sentences. I've encouraged students to create original sentences rather than copying the examples I provided.
